Origin
Cameroon: community before career
Her earliest lessons came from a community that shared what little it had. In Cameroon, resilience was not a slogan — it was routine, practiced daily by neighbors, teachers and family.
Early exposure to inequality and to unmet medical need shaped a conviction that has never left: care is a form of justice, and service is the most useful thing a person can build a life around.
Education
Excellence built one step at a time
Montgomery College, then Smith College, then Howard University College of Medicine — a path walked with discipline rather than shortcuts.
Each stage added a different kind of rigor: scientific method, critical thinking and the endurance required of a physician-in-training.
